Apple iPhone 7 Plus no longer the Antutu Benchmark leader
Antutu has just released their Top 10 performance list for May 2017
, and the smartphone that came on top may(pun intended) just surprise you. This is the first time since the iPhone 7 Plus
released that Apple’s baton holder is no longer the fastest smartphone in the world. Apple's iPhone 7 Plus has been dethroned by an Android phone you would wanna "squeeze", the HTC U11
The HTC U11 scored an impressive average of 180,079, which puts it well above the iPhone 7 Plus average score of 174,299.
The Xiaomi Mi6
stands behind the 7 plus at 172.4k points, the Galaxy S8
in fourth and fifth at around 172.3k points. The benchmark scores are never an indicator of how well the phone will run, but at the same time, it is an indicator of the sheer power possessed by these devices. The more groundbreaking fact is that we are slowly starting to see Android devices catch up and even leave behind iOS devices in performance. This is a very important stage for android and with chips getting even more powerful with time, the performance of these devices will just skyrocket.
