So, 2018 is coming to an end and all the phone launches are mostly done. And this year has seen a flurry of stupendously good phones under Rs 15,000. Therefore, we decided to end it in style with a final end of the year, Mr. Phone style camera comparison. One that pulls no stops.
We’ve decided to pit the best camera phones under Rs 15,000 in one final battle. These phones include the
Redmi Note 6 Pro, Realme 2 Pro, Honor 8X, ZenFone Max Pro M2, and the Mi A2.
We went through this massive process to analyse a little over 100 images in total. To make it easier for you, we have made a points table, in the end, to find out where each phone stands in this comparison.
To know which phone came out on top in this comparison, check the video below.
VIDEO The final standings
We have our final points tally. And, as you can see below, the Mi A2, the Redmi Note 6 Pro, and the Realme 2 Pro take the 1st, 2nd, and the 3rd spot respectively. But, you can choose any one of the three phones in this price range and not be disappointed with the camera performance. From fast shooting speeds and autofocusing capabilities to the actual pictures, all the three phones offer a great shooting experience.
That said, the ZenFone Max Pro M2 excels in low light photography but needs to improve the selfie camera. And, the company really needs to find a better camera app. On the other hand, the Honor 8X does a superb job with selfies. But the phone needs to do something to the software algorithm and the processing to actually improve the kind of pictures it takes with the rear camera.
All in all, Xiaomi has done a whole lot of work behind the scenes to actually improve the camera performance. We really like the whole camera algorithm on the Mi A2 and the Redmi Note 6 Pro. If you want the absolute best camera experience in phones under Rs 20,000, we are pretty damn sure that Xiaomi’s Mi A2 and the Redmi Note 6 Pro should serve the purpose and more.
As for the best of the best - we are crowning the Mi A2 as the winner! A lot of folks would’ve guessed it at the start. But from the final points tally you can tell that there is not much difference between the Mi A2 and the Redmi Note 6 Pro.
