Google announced Android Go for devices with 1GB RAM or less
at its IO developer conference yesterday, revealed about Android Go. It stated that YouTube Go app has inspired the company to build Android Go. Every smartphone launching with Android O and later OS versions having the RAM of 1GB or less will get Android in the Go configuration.
Android Go configuration is basically build to work with lesser hardware, small data plans, and limited network connectivity as well. The data management will be available in Quick Settings. Also, the company will roll out the API to the carriers to regarding this. It will really be helpful for you since you'll know how much data is still left on your device to use. The data saving feature will be set as default in the Android Go configuration which will automatically turn on the feature when it's required.
Google said; First Android Go devices will arrive in 2018.
