LG launched the LG V30 last year in August. The phone became a fan favourite in no time and now, speculations suggest that the 2018 version of the phone might arrive. The arrival is not too far as the same speculations vouch for it to launch at MWC 2018. The phone is called 2018 LG V30 and we cannot understand why the year had to come first. But that's not important. What is important on the phone is its AI-enhanced camera abilities.
The 2018 version of the V30 will also have the voice-based AI ability using which, it will allow users to give voice commands to the Google Assistant. These commands are exclusive to the LG handsets and will basically launch the camera in a specific mode.
While twenty-three of these commands were present on the 2017 variant of the phone, nine new commands will feature on the 2018 LG V30. These commands consist of: code scanning, shopping search, image search, food photo, time-lapse photo, slow-motion video, panoramic photo, low-light photo, and AI cam photo.

The Vision-based AI image recognition will help in shopping and searches along with a model based on hundred million images which will recommend a perfect camera setting for each situation. The device will come pre-loaded with eight pre-defined recommended camera settings based on the available light, the reflection in the shot etc.
These capabilities will be based on software rather than any hardware and the company wishes to extend these abilities to the models which have the required hardware. The 2018 variant of the V30 is likely to launch at MWC. It would be interesting to see how this phone performs in front of the Galaxy S9, S9+ and Mi Mix 2S.
