The new iPhone family breaks records of DxOMark camera scores
I'm guessing you have checked out what DxOMark by now, and are further reading this article. In case you are a lazy bum, here's something for you. DxOMark is a website that does camera reviews on DSLR's and smartphones. Their rating is considered as holy scriptures for photographers, and videographers all over the world.
Apple iPhone and iPhone 8 Plus beat the DxOMark record scores of 90, by scoring 92 and 94 respectively. However, the title for the top camera rating of the iPhone Plus was short-lived. Today, DxOMark announced the rating of Samsung's Note 8 which ties up with the iPhone Plus at 94.
DxOMark gives Note 8 the title of "The best smartphone for zoom". However, we'll get to see if that title sees the end of the light since there's Apple iPhone X which will definitely give a tough fight to it.
These are some of the key camera specifications taken from the DxOMark's website.

- Secondary 12MP 1/3.6” sensor with 52mm (telephoto) f/2.4 lens (1.0um pixel size)

- Optical Image Stabilization (OIS)
- Dual-LED (dual tone) flash
- 6.3” (1440 x 2960) Super AMOLED display with 521ppi density
- 2160p@30fps (4K) video
One of the important highlights from the test is that it achieved a photo sub-score of 100, because of its excellent zoom quality, fast and accurate focus, noise reduction and detail preservation. And it scored very low on a video performance test by DxOMark by getting a number of 85.
