Oppo's manfacturing the OnePlus 5 in India
The OnePlus 5
was launched in India
just a 2 days after its global release and the retail box says that it's being manufactured by Oppo. OnePlus had already signed up for the Make in India project and their latest OnePlus 5 also falls under the category. The 5, according to the box, is being manufactured by Oppo at their Noida facility.
This definitely doesn't come as too big of a surprise given that OnePlus
and even Vivo
are all owned by the BBK Electronics. The OnePlus 5 manufactured in India doesn't seem to have any difference from the China made devices, however, there may still be quality differences, which we'll have to wait to find out. The OnePlus 5 comes with the Snapdragon 835 and a whopping 8GB RAM in the higher end model. The OnePlus 5's 6GB/64GB variant retails for INR 32,999 and the higher end 8GB/128GB model retails for INR 37,999.
