Realme 3, a 48MP camera phone, and more
In a recent interview, Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth spilled the beans on the company's plans for 2019. According to Sheth, the Realme 3 will be announced in Q1 2019. As of now, no specifications have been disclosed. He did, however, say that the brand does not see value in the punch-hole screen design or a triple rear-camera setup. As such, we can count those out. Additionally, Realme is also said to be working on a new 48MP camera phone. This could be similar to the recently launched Redmi Note 7. Apart from a Realme 3, we also expect to see Realme A1. It is said to be the middle ground between the ultra-affordable Realme C1 and the selfie-centric Realme U1.

Sheth also noted that his company will keep their focus on the sub-20,000 price segment. That being said, the major focus this year for Realme would be to branching into the offline market as well. Until now, the company has driven its success through online channels. However, due to the changed FDI policy for online retailers, effective from February 1st, Realme will have to rethink its strategy. As per the policy, no vendor can sell more than 25 percent of their products via an online marketplace. As such, the company has already tied up with Reliance Industries to sell its smartphones across Reliance Digital and Jio stores. Additionally, the company will also open its first experience store in the country during the second half of 2019.
