The 2nd of November will be remembered as a day which bore the release of seven awesome new smartphones! So, if you are a smartphone lover like me and are acting like a kid on Christmas morning, let's take a look at the list.
#1. HTC U11 Plus (U11+)
This smartphone is an upgrade to the flagship release a while back, the U11. In comparison to the standard U11, the U11+ has a 6 inch 1440p "2017 tall" type display (18:9 aspect ratio). It has the same Snapdragon 835 CPU but has a new 128 GB variant with an additional 2 gigs of RAM, and a significantly beefier 3930 mAh battery. Awesome!

#2. HTC U11 Life
This is a slightly watered down version of the same HTC U11 flagship, still rocking that gorgeous mercurial back panel. But is powered by the Snapdragon 630. It is an incredible power-efficient smartphone but not one of the heavy lifters out there.
It has a rather small 2600 mAh battery, which is pretty disappointing. But at least the HTC U11 Life has 4 gigs of RAM and a 16 mp 4K camera! That $470 price tag could raise some eyebrows though.

#3. Oppo R11s
It's like the Oppo R11 came in RED. Yup, the only thing which Oppo did not copy from Apple was the (product) RED color, until now. The R11s packs a taller aspect ratio on its display, which is admittedly nice to look at. It is still running on the 'premium mid range' side of things when it comes to the silicon inside. It is powered by a 1.8 GHz Snapdragon 660 CPU and has 4 gigs of RAM.
With it's 20 mp selfie camera, you can use it as a battery powered mirror. I mean, who uses a smartphone like a phone these days anyway!

#4. Oppo R11s Plus
This smartphone is the bigger version of the R11s. It has a slightly larger 4000 mAh battery compared to the 3200 mAh battery on the smaller version. Pretty good improvement if you ask me. So this Oppo R11s Plus version of the 'Oppo mirror' will last even longer to satisfy all of your self-portrait cravings.
At least both of them still have headphone jacks!
#5. Redmi Y1
If you can't beat 'em, join 'em said Xiaomi, and made the Redmi Y1.
Thankfully the price is still well under $200, unlike some other selfie-ish companies out there! For that price, you get a smartphone with a 16 mp front facing camera and a 13 mp rear camera. It is still powered by Qualcomm's 400 series CPUs, the Snapdragon 435 in this case.
There is 32 gigs of sorage and 3 GB of RAM on board too. The battery is a 3080 mAh unit, which is a pretty good size for a phone with such low power demanding specs.
I guess Xiaomi wanted to shut people like me up, who constantly complained that Redmi phones have decent rear cameras but front camera quality is (was) unacceptable. This will be a good alternative to those bore with overpriced Vivo phones.

#6. Redmi Y1 Lite
This smartphone is pretty much the same as the Redmi Y1, but with some level of dilution. The processor drops to an SD425. Most importantly, this is for those who would rather give up the extra pixels on the front camera to save some bucks. They will still be getting 5 megapixels with the Lite.
The Redmi Y1 Lite will just not do for the selfie lovers among you, but for those of us who have no interest in zooming into our own faces will be just fine with this budget device. Find all the specs of this cute little device here!
I'd still suggest getting the Redmi Y1 over a Vivo phone any day. Just saying!
#7. Oppo F5
This one looks a lot prettier than most phones out there right now, especially considering the decent $370 price tag. The Oppo F5 has a 1080p 18:9 aspect ratio display, 6 inches of it.
It has a 16 mp rear camera with a pretty wide f/1.8 aperture, and of course, the 20 mp selfie snapper which we all love! There is also a 6 GB RAM variant in Red color, which is cool. I have just one small problem, and that is the Helio P23 processor.
Sure, Meidatek makes really well performing CPUs, but this doesn't seem to be one of them. It is more inclined towards saving battery than giving out as much horsepower as possible. That battery is a pretty substantial 3200 mAh unit, so this smartphone is definitely a companion for your long selfie sessions.
