Recent rumours suggest that Xiaomi will be unveiling two budget smartphones on November 11. Now that the arrival date seems to come closer the rumours are pouring in. We received information that the company will begin teasing the Redmi 5 and 5 Plus.
Redmi 5 specifications
This pocket-friendly smartphone will support Snapdragon 450 chipset, with a 5.7-inch display, 720 x 1280 pixels and 12 MP camera. The Redmi 5 will be available for $120, the 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage variant will come at a price of $135. There were some rumours earlier that the smartphone will have a 6 MP front camera and an 8 MP rear camera.
Redmi 5 Plus specifications
This smartphone could probably be a mid-range phone, it may have a 5.99-inch display with 2160 x 1080 pixels. The 5 Plus is conjectured to have a Snapdragon 625 which powers several other Xiaomi smartphones, like Redmi Note 4 and Mi Max 2. This would be disappointing as the previous phones had the same processor we expect at least Snapdragon 630 processor in the 5 Plus. Though we are not certain about the camera, rumours say that a 12 MP and 5 MP dual rear cameras are on the phone. The phone with 3 GB RAM is supposedly for $150 and the variant with 4 GB RAM is for $195. It might run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS.
