Mr. Phone Content Policy

Mr. Phone Community a place to share your stories and make your voice heard in the mobile & tech world. We're one of the fastest growing platform for news, reviews, update & opinion in the mobile world, and we're devoted to making a space that feels useful and welcoming to everyone.

We welcome any kind of content on tech & mobile world but we won't stand for unacceptable content.

We believe that sharing your opinions respectfully is very important and we value a diversity of viewpoints. We want you to do you. But if your content includes anything unacceptable, we will decline to publish it or will take it down, and we may remove your profile as well.

Everything you share on Mr. Phone is content: posts, comments, your profile, audio, video, images, links, you name it. Here is what we define as unacceptable:

  • Anything used to abuse, harass, stalk or threaten other people.
  • We will not tolerate this behavior. Don't do it. This includes hateful slurs and public shaming.
  • Content that's libelous, defamatory, knowingly false or misrepresents another person.
  • It's on you to check your facts. If you can back them up with reliable sources, even better!
  • Anything that infringes upon any copyright, trademark, trade secret or patent of any third party.

You need to be able to legally use any content you share to Mr. Phone, including photos. This means that you must own or have a valid license to use the content. Also, if you quote or excerpt someone's content, it's your responsibility to provide proper attribution to the original author. For a clear definition of copyright, fair use, and attribution, look at The Electronic Frontier Foundation's Legal Guide for Bloggers. If you think someone is violating a copyright, please contact us to let us know. Here are some of the scenarios:

  • Contains paid content, links or spam.
  • We will refuse to publish or will remove your content if we find that it includes any of these:
    • Editorial content that was commissioned and paid for by a third party (either cash or goods in barter)
    • Paid advertising links
    • Spam—that is, pointless or deceitful content intended only to make money, basically unsolicited ads.
    • Violates the privacy, publicity, moral or any other right of any third party.
    • This includes non-public contact information for people, unless you have their explicit permission. "Doxing" won't be tolerated.
    • Violates any obligation of confidentiality.
    • Promotes self-harm.
    • We will remove anything that advocates suicide, cutting, anorexia, bulimia, or other forms of self-harm.
    • Contains porn or solicits sex. We love talking about sex, but this isn't a platform for porn or solicitation.

The Mr. Phone staff determines unacceptable content on a case-by-case basis in its sole discretion. Our definitions aren't limited to the list above, and we may change these standards at any time without notice.

If you violate the guidelines, we may contact you to let you know, or we may just remove your content. If you're a repeat offender, we may block your profile as well.

We want your help! We'd love your help in upholding these guidelines. If you're concerned about any content you see, we urge you to contact us directly to report a violation, ask a question or give feedback.

Thank you for helping make Mr. Phone Community a safe, comfortable and generally awesome place for everyone.
