Not the best in this price segment.
INITIAL EXPRESSIONS : I got my hands on this device a few days back. I got it for my mom. When I unboxed the device, and lifted it, I was surprised by the low weight of the device. But my suprise soon faded away as I discovered almost equally heavy battery, lying underneath the sheet of the cardboard frame.
DESIGN : The design is nothing impressive. It just looks like a mini Moto G4 apart from the front facing speaker. The back is removable and so is the battery (I will get to it later), which is good. Back is just a cheap plastic material which is very thin. And another thing which I didn't like is the very low grip. It's hard to keep the phone holding vertically without it slipping out of your hands. The phone easily manages to escape your hold.
BATTERY : Now the battery. Battery is removable, which is a plus. And I have to say, this device does have a phenomenal battery life. But then, if you think about it, it's a 3500 mAh battery (Also adds to the weight) with a 720 p (HD) display. It is supposed to perform better. But atleast they were generous enough to provide a bigger battery, which is one of the very few good things about this device. Also, it supports fast charging which charges your phone to a certain limit quickly, but after that limit, it slows down and still takes almost 2 hours to charge it completely.
EXPANDABLE MEMORY : Regarding the Memory card expansion, there is a different slot for memory card instead of the hybrid slots ( 1 Sim + 1 SD Card or 2 Sims), which are quite popular these days. Again, one of another very few pros.
DISPLAY : Regarding the Display, it is average. It is good if you consider the amount that you paid for the device.
SPEAKER & VOLUME : The volume of the speaker is quite good and it's also clear. There never will be a case when you will find a missed call, until and unless, you yourself decide not to pick it up, because it's almost impossible to not hear it when it's ringing.
CAMERA : The rear 8MP camera is below average in performance. The pictures clicked in good lighting conditions turn out to be okay but the rear camera is a very poor performer in low lighting conditions. But then, it's a budget device. Whereas the front 5MP camera is different. It can click quite good pictures and selfie lovers won't hate the device.
What's left now? Oh yes, the worst part. The software & the performance, to be specific. This is where all the negative stuff & hate for the device will start to flood in.
SOFTWARE : The software is the worst that I have ever used till date. Period. The OS is Vanilla Android. There are almost no bloatware apart from just one app or two from Motorola. But the bugs are just annoying. There are a lot of bugs in the software. It is shocking that there are so many major bugs in the final build of the unit that they are manufacturing & selling. I am being honest, even most of the beta versions I have used didn't contain this many bugs.
And also, there are no existing updates/patches till date even when the phone was launched in september 2016. That is a long time to come up with an update or patch.
PERFORMANCE : If you talk about the performance, it is mediocre. Infact, less than average, for the device in this range. I expected better. But its performance is inferior to most of its counterparts. It is very laggy at times. A person who is, even an average user and lacks patience should definitely avoid getting this device as of now (Until any update makes it better), because you might end up destroying it eventually.
Also, I only got this device because it was easy to get one. Otherwise, I would have gone for a Redmi 3s because it's worth the pain.
I think I mentioned every little detail I could recall. Have a nice day. :)
Edit 1 : After much awaited update, the annoying bugs were fixed. And it gave a considerable boost to the performance of the phone.
