The Galaxy J5 Prime is what is possibly the best entry level smartphone from Samsung , for a price under $230 . The phone comes packed with pretty decent specs overall , but rather excellent specs for the price . The phone rocks a 5" HD IPS display . The resolution is basically the standard nowadays for this size , but unfortunately , in order to cut the price down , Samsung decided to put an IPS panel rather than sAMOLED , which has resulted in slightly underwhelming color saturation , some people however prefer the more accurate and true to life colors of an IPS over sAMOLED . there is no getting around the fact that sAMOLED is more battery efficient however , but its certainly not a deal breaker. When it comes to cameras , the J5 Prime is no slouch for sure . it rocks a 13MP rear camera , which is capable of taking excellent shots in daytime , and decent ones at night . The video recording capabilities , however , are not so great . The lack of 4K video recording capability is a rather unusual step from Samsung .The front camera is a 5MP shooter , capable of making you look really good in those selfies , again , in daytime . You can take pretty decent selfies at night , just don't expect too much . When it comes to performance , Samsung Exynos 7570 is a pretty decent chip for the price , and it fairs pretty well in 3D gaming , however not the best in the graphics intensive ones . With 2GB of RAM , and 16GB of internal storage , the phone is a great daily driver , and you won't experience any intrusive lag . Interface is not the strong suit of this phone , as it comes out of the box with Android Marshmallow , with the older TouchWiz UI skin on top , which is not exactly best , but you can rely on the upcoming Nougat update , which will bring along a new skin going by the name of Grace UX . When it comes to design , as i say in my reviews , its subjective . i honestly just love the way the phone looks in its black colour . The build quality is rather underwhelming , with all plastic , rather than , the metal backing and 2 small plastic top and bottom edges in the J7 Prime . It feels good in the hands , and is fairly durable . A huge compliment of the Galaxy J5 Prime , is the battery life . The phone is sure to last you a full day , and can stretch to up to 2 days , with average use . The charging speed is outstanding as well , taking less the 1hour to fully charge the adequately sized 2400mAh battery in the phone .Well , that concludes my review of the Galaxy J5 Prime , I hope you liked it and in case you disagree with me , tell me why in the reply section , and I will see you in my next review .
