By now, it is unofficially official that there will be three iPhones this year. There will be a standard 5.8-inch variant, a super-sized 6.4-inch variant that will take the mantle from the iPhone 8 Plus, and a 6.1-inch LCD iPhone that will be, so to speak, pocket-friendly. Recent CAD render of both the 6.5-inch and the 6.1-inch variant have let us stare at the whole body of the upcoming phones. Now, dummy units or 3D mockups have also surfaced online today.
The credit for this goes to blog Macotakara, who also have a detailed video about the dummies. With these 3D mockups, it’s all about the dimensions and size of the future iPhones.
For the 6.0-inch LCD iPhone, the dimensions turn out to be 150.91 by 75.72 mm and thickness is 8.47 mm. This is considerably thicker than the two other variants, as you’ll soon find out. Other than that, there isn’t any visible difference.
The 5.8-inch iPhone has measurements of 143.65 mm by 72.03 mm while thickness is 7.69mm. There is a negligible difference between this year’s iPhone and last year’s model but you use the same case for both of them, as demonstrated in the clip.
The biggest of them, the 6.4-inch model has the following dimensions – 157.53mm by 77.44 mm by 7.85 mm thick. As a side note, this model will integrate the same camera with TrueDepth as on the current flagship, says the source.
Check out the video for more details and let us know which one of the three models will be a worthy buy in 2018.
