The World Internet Conference was held on December 4, 2017, in Wuzhen, China. This conference is a very big platform for all the Chinese tech giants to display their plans for the future. They disclose their plans in terms of the company’s research and development. Yu Chengdong (CEO of Huawei) was among the many speakers present and he shared the stage with Lei Jun (CEO of Xiaomi) and mentioned that they have plans to come up with AI-based smartphones from next year.
Yu Chengdong even gave us hints that the tech giant will be launching its 5G smartphones in 2019 and will happen in the second half of the year. He said, that the last 20 years of the company have been an epoch of development in the telecommunications industry.
The development in mobile technology has brought in a lot of changes in the lives of millions of people. According to him, Artificial Intelligence is the new era of technology, Huawei has already come up with an AI compatible Kirin 970 chipset.
Now the company is all set to rule the AI world and is claiming to launch AI smartphones in 2019. He believes that it the new era of 5G and AI and that Huawei will be able to give its users the ultimate mobile experience of their lives.
