Stay tuned to Mr. Phone and download our app to get the latest updates from the world of smartphone technology. With the continued pressure of Reliance Jio, other rival telcos like Airtel have been forced to rejig their tariffs in the past months. Today, Airtel has once again upgraded its Infinity postpaid plans to stay relevant in the industry.
All plans starting from the Rs 399 postpaid all the way up to the Rs 1,999 have been refreshed to provide more data. Speaking about the Rs 399 postpaid plan, Airtel has doubled the data on offer from 20GB to 40GB, a very appealing change indeed. The plan which offered 10GB earlier still offers unlimited STD and local calls as well as incoming roaming calls.
There’s a discrepancy in the data in terms of unlimited outgoing roaming calls as the website doesn’t show it. However, the MyAirtel app shows it. Perhaps, the new change is for new users. But Airtel has no comments or info on this difference as of yet.
Old users of the Rs 399 plan can upgrade to the new improved one as has been found by some publications. Moving further to the Rs 499 plan, it now offers 40GB data per billing cycle along with the other aforementioned benefits. The Rs 799 plan now brings you 60GB data, while the RS 1,199 plan has 90GB data as per official info.
Three heavy duty plans of Rs 1,599, Rs 1,999, and Rs 2,999 are now offering 150 GB, 200GB, and 300GB data respectively. All plans mentioned here come with benefits of 100 SMS per day, unlimited incoming and outgoing roaming calls, and free Amazon Prime Subscription (except Rs 399 plan).
With this kind of data on offer, Airtel is the most appealing telco for postpaid users. We’re sure, Vodafone and Idea will reshuffle their postpaid plans as a reaction to this Airtel offer in the coming days.
