
Amazfit GTR 2 is now official in the Indian market. The new smartwatch comes in two variants – Sport Edition and Classic Edition. While both share identical features, they differ when it comes to design and materials used. The Amazfit GTR 2 Sport Edition retails at Rs 12,999, and the Classic Edition costs Rs 13,499. Both these are available for sale on Flipkart and as well as on Amazfit website.

Amazfit GTR 2 — Design
The Amazfit GTR 2 comes with a circular display measuring 1.39-inches. It’s an AMOLED screen which curves back to the metal casing. It claims to feature up to 450nits brightness and 326ppi HD resolution. The display further comes with anti-fingerprint coating, optical Diamond-like Carbon (DLC) coating, that promises to be scratch-proof and Corning Gorilla Glass protection on top. The screen can rotate 180-degrees as per individual’s arm habits whether (left or right) handed.
While both Classic and Sport Editions feature the same displays, the former comes with obsidian black leather strap and stainless steel casing. Meanwhile, the Sport edition equips an obsidian black silicone strap and aluminium casing.
The display further comes with over 50 watch faces out of which over 40 come with an always-on display. The smartwatches are also waterproof with 5ATM rating.
Amazfit GTR 2 — Features
Huami-based Amazfit’s latest smartwatch comes with multiple sensors and health features. The sensors include biological data sensor (support blood oxygen), air pressure sensor, acceleration sensor, gyroscope sensor, ambient light sensor and a three-axis magnetic sensor. Also, there’s Huami’s BioTracker 2 PPG optical sensor. These work together and bring several health features. These involve twenty-four heart rate monitoring, Blood oxygen saturation measurement (SpO2), PAI health assessment, sleep level and stress level monitoring.
Apart from the smartwatch features like showcasing notifications, it also comes with built-in sport modes. There are over ninety sport modes with essentials, including cycling, running, and swimming, to name a few.

Amazfit GTR 2 — Battery
The Amazfit GTR 2 smartwatch underneath compresses a high capacity 471mAh battery that promises to last up to 14 days of typical use. The company is also providing a charging base within the retailing box.
Lastly, for compatibility, the smartwatches support Android (above Android 5.0) and iOS (iOS 10 or above) platforms. There’s also a Zepp application available wherein you can track your activities within your smartphone.
