On the 22nd of September, the Cupertino company launched three glorious phones iPhone 8, iPhone 8 plus and iPhone X. These three smartphones support wireless charging. Now Apple has acquired a New Zealand based company names PowerbyProxi, which particularises in wireless charging products for consumers. The company had started in the year 2007 and its CEO is Mr. Fady Mishriki.
Apple is not the first company to introduce wireless charging to the world, many Android companies have been using this technology for years. The acquiring of PowerbyProxi gives us an understanding that Apple will bring in more products which support wireless charging. According to Mr. Jake Saunders of the ABI research, he believes that consumers might get interested in a single device pad and not multiple pads for multiple products. That means the iPhones and Apple watches can get charged at the same time.
