After the launch of the three iPhone’s this year, iPhone 8 plus and iPhone X have got a good response from the users. The demand for these smartphones is steady and a little more than expected, at the end of the fiscal quarter which ends in 2017 the Cupertino company will ship 26 million units. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says, that the company will be increasing production of the iPhone X by 35% to 45% in the current quarter.
The reason behind this increase is, that consumers have preferred the iPhone X over the other handsets. The Chinese New Year holiday will seek a demand for the product thus the production needs to be increased. Apple might reduce the units for iPhone 8 from October to December by 60%, this will help them balance the supply.
Apple has shipped 11.8 million units of the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus in the last quarter. Out of this number, 6.3 million handsets were of iPhone 8 Plus and 5.5 million handsets were of iPhone 8 in the last three months.
