Apple has silently launched not one, but iPads today. We now have the new iPad Mini and the iPad Air. Interestingly, none of these come with Face ID. Instead, they pack the familiar Touch ID fingerprint recognition. That said, both the new tablets support the Apple Pencil. Additionally, the Air also supports the Smart Keyboard for faster typing.

A newer iPad Mini has been awaited for a long time. The screen is now 25 percent brighter versus old iPad minis. With the A12 Bionic chip, the new iPad mini is a powerful multitasking machine, delivering three times the performance and nine times faster graphics. And with Apple Pencil1 support, the new iPad mini is the perfect take-anywhere notepad for sketching and jotting down thoughts on the go. The new iPads are available to order starting today and in stores next week.
Apple iPad Air 2019
On the other hand, the iPad Air comes with a 10.5-inch LCD Retina Display with True Tone. There’s support for Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard, and massive 10-hour battery life. It has a 1-pound weight and is quite slim, thanks to its 6.1mm body. Under the hood, there is once again the Apple A12 Bionic chip with Neural Engine.
Apple iPad price in India
The new iPad mini starts at Rs 34,900 (Wi-Fi) and Rs 45,900 (Wi-Fi + Cellular). On the other hand, you can get the iPad Air starts at Rs 44,900 (Wi-Fi) and Rs 55,900 (Wi-Fi + Cellular). If you want the Apple Pencil, you’d have to shell out another Rs. 8,500 on that.
