Apple iPhone X, XR, and XS may start getting assembled in India from next month

The Cupertino-giant, Apple had a slow sales last quarter in India, and the high import taxes may be to blame. There have been reports earlier, which suggested that the company may soon start assembling its high-end iPhones in India. Thus reducing the cost price of its iPhone X family. 

Apple iPhone X, XR, and XS – Made in India Stamp Soon?

Now a new report has popped up on Reuters stating that Apple could start the production of its iPhone X, XR, and XS in India as soon as next month. An unnamed source broke this information to the publication ahead of official public announcement, as per the report. 

India is the world’s second largest smartphone market had Apple concerned about its future in the country. And the discounts tied up with Banking partners are not helping the brand reach its targets. According to the report, Apple manufacturing partner, Foxconn is likely to assemble the iPhone X family in India. 

Why should Apple manufacture Apple iPhone X family in India? This move will not only allow them to save on high import taxes but as well as help them fulfill the requirements to open its retail stores in India. Back in May, the brand started manufacturing the iPhone 6s and then moved to iPhone 7. 

The high-end iPhone models have been long rumoured to be manufactured in India. This move could help all Apple enthusiasts to purchase iPhones sooner. Or Apple may wait till it launches next iPhone X family to drop the price. What do you guys think? Let us know in the comment section below.
