Apple has officially released its first public beta of WatchOS 7 for Apple Watch Series 3 devices and above. The new WatchOS was announced earlier at a WWDC 2020 online-only event. Now apart from developers, public can also install the new beta build. What are the new features of this version of WatchOS? Let us discuss the same below.
WatchOS 7 – New Features
The most important and significant additions to the WatchOS 7 Beta include official sleep tracking, something that had been missing for quite a while on Apple Watches of the past. There are also improved bicycle directions and navigations, additional watch face customizations including Siri shortcuts for easier access, a new-hand washing timer (even Apple knows it’s 2020), and new workout modes. Among those is the new Dancing workout, something new worth using on the Apple Watch.
As for sleep tracking, the app will have automatic sleep tracking with a new tab which will be added to the Health app. In terms of watch faces, the users will now be able to share custom watch faces and download faces from some lists present within the App Store.
WatchOS 7 – Availability
If you too are stoked about all these features, you can avail for Public Beta updates or, if you can wait for a while, the update will be rolled out in the final form in fall. The WatchOS 7 definitely brings a ton of new features, so you may be tempted to try it out as soon as possible.
