The Cupertino giant is all set to take its annual developer conference online this year in lieu of a massive stadium event. With the worldwide pandemic at hand, the company’s decision to take its WWDC 2020 event online is not surprising. Although, what’s surprising is that the participation this year will be free.
Where will Apple host its WWDC 2020 event?
The company will be hosting its annual developer conference online on their Apple Developer website, and on the Apple Developer app. The Mac and iPhone maker also announced the Swift Student Challenge, where students will be offered ample opportunities to showcase their talents on the platform.
Currently, the WWDC, World Wide Developer Conference, is in its 31st year. It will be giving the opportunity to millions of creative and innovative developers across the world to get early access to the latest software line-up. The Apple software line-up includes iSO, macOS, WatchOS, tvOS, and relatively new iPadOS.
All the Developers attending the event will learn from Apple engineers, how they can enrich the lives of Apple users around the world. While Developers will be attending to primarily learn, there will be an audience watching online to get the first look at what’s coming this fall.
Well, I’m not talking about the iPhones guys! 😛
Come fall every year, Apple usually rolls out the major software updates to its software system in its ecosystem. And we all will be seeing what’s next for Apple product users. Whether you’re a user of iPhone, iPad, MacBook, Watch, or TV, you must be excited to see what’s next.
WWDC 2020 is supposed to be attended by more than 23 million members of the developer community. “We can’t wait to meet online in June with the global developer community and share with them all of the new tools we’ve been working on to help them create even more incredible apps and services.”, said Phil Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.
How do you submit your entry for Swift Playgrounds?
This self-proclaimed revolutionary app for iPad and Mac makes learning the Swift programming language interactive and fun. Through 11:59 PM PDT on May 17, student developers from around the world can submit their entries. There will be winners, of course. And they will receive an exclusive WWDC20 jacket and pin set.
