Asus ROG phone, the insane gaming phone is coming to India on November 29

This is a huge news for all the gaming enthusiasts in India, especially who see mobile gaming is the future. Asus is coming with its ROG phone in India and the day is not far when users in India can get their hands-on to this smartphone built for the professional gaming experience.

Asus’s gaming division, ROG announced a phone at Computex in June this year. And since then Indian users have been anticipating the release of this gaming phone for quite a while. The time has finally come, as it is being released in India on November 29. The handset is already being sold in countries including U.S. and UK.

Thanks to gaming titles like PUBG and Fortnite, the smartphone manufacturers are pushing this category as they see a huge potential since a massive amount of users are signing up to play these heavy-duty games. So by offering a dedicated gaming smartphone, the brands are cashing in the trend of these heavy-duty strategy games.

Asus could easily have an advantage here, as quite a few number of brands have introduced its gaming smartphones in India, Xiaomi and Razer are one of those brands. Well, that’s enough of the gaming smartphone scene in the Indian market. Let’s talk about the Asus ROG specifications.

This phone sports a 6-inch 1080p AMOLED display. It is an always-on display with the support of DCI-P3 colour gamut, 90Hz refresh rate, HDR, and wide colour gamut as well. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, which is accompanied by an 8GB of RAM. It could offer two storage variant options, 128GB and 256GB. Unfortunately, there won’t be an external storage support.

On the camera front, it offers dual rear camera setup with 12MP + 8MP setup, where the primary lens is of f/1.8 aperture. There is a support of 4-axis OIS, dual pixel PDAF, and its lens have a pixel size of 1.4 micron. The selfie camera is of 8MP resolution with f/2.0 aperture with 24mm wide.

To make gaming experience worthwhile, it offers a stereo speaker set. The audio front supports 24-bit/192Hz streaming, DTS Headphone X, and 3.5mm audio jack. It has a USB type-C 3.1 reversible connectors and offers a 4000mAh capacity battery with 30W fast charging support. Note that it offers a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
