Asus Zenfone 5 Max with Android Oreo gets Wi-Fi certification, launch imminent

Zenfone 5 Max to be launched soon

Asus is ready to launch the Zenfone 5 Max since the device has received the Wi-Fi certification. The CEO of Asus, Jerry Shen, revealed that the company will launch the first Zenfone 5 smartphone earlier this year. According to speculations, the phone will be launched at the MWC 2018. 

An Asus phone with a model number Asus_X00QD recently surfaced online after its Wi-Fi certification. The phone is likely to be named Asus Zenfone 5 Max. It runs Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. 

Nothing else is known about the device as of now. In the last few weeks, Asus has slashed the prices of many of its smartphones. The Asus Zenfone 3 ZE520KL is available at a price of Rs 11,999 instead of Rs 15,999. The Zenfone 3 has also gone up on sale with a price of Rs 14,999 against its launch price of Rs 16,999. ZenFone Go 5.0 is available at a price of Rs 6,499 while the Zenfone Go 5.5 is priced at Rs 6,999 after the cost reduction.
