Asus is probably making up for its late launch of the ZenFone 4 series last year. The company launched the ZenFone 4 devices after a delay of months. However, the ZenFone 5 seems ready for prime time with some leaks surfacing this month.
The ZenFone 5 Lite, which was certified in Russia four weeks back, now shows itself in pretty official looking renders. Asus’ ZenFone family usually consists of more than three members, and the ZenFone 5 Lite will be one of the low-end versions.
Looking at the renders, it isn’t hard to say that it is an 18:9 aspect ratio display. It is believed to be a 6-inch Full-HD+ display. While both the rear and the front has a clearly visible dual camera setup, according to latest info, the rear cameras should consist of a 16MP duo. While the front should house dual 20MP selfie shooters.
From what we saw of the standard ZenFone 5 earlier, the design mostly seems to be the same. Except for the camera placement on the rear, it is a more iPhone X style placement on the ZenFone 5 should the leaked image be true.
Specs of the Asus ZenFone 5 Lite haven’t surfaced yet but it should be underpowered compared to the flagship ZenFone 5. Invites for an Asus launch event on February 27 have already been sent out by the Taiwanese manufacturer. Expect the whole lineup to debut at MWC 2018.
