ZenFone 5Z 6

ASUS has managed to announce its comeback with the latest offerings in the ZenFone series. They recently launched the ZenFone Max Pro M2 that has been selling really well in the budget market. Also, in the budget flagship market, things are no different. The company previously launched the ASUS ZenFone 5Z which proved to be decent competition to the offerings from OnePlus. Now, the device is due for an update, and well, leaks for it are already here. The ASUS ZenFone 6Z just passed the GeekBench, which tells us about its key specifications.

ASUS ZenFone 6Z specifications

The smartphone passed through Geekbench bearing model number ASUS_I01WD. Interestingly, this is the same device that received certification from the Wi-Fi Alliance recently. As per the listing, the ASUS ZenFone 6Z is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 855 SoC. The onboard memory is said to be 6GB. Also, it is expected to come with Android 9 Pie out of the box. As for the scores, the device managed to score 3,527 and 11,190 points in single and multi-core tests, respectively.

The rumor mill has been rife about the ASUS ZenFone 6Z for a while now. Reports suggest that the device could eliminate the notch entirely, which was a major point of criticism in the ZenFone 5Z. That said, it is unclear as to whether there will be an elevating selfie camera or a sliding mechanism.

ASUS ZenFone 6Z launch date

The ASUS ZenFone 6Z is said to unveil on May 16. As of now, there is no word if we will see any siblings of the device as well. With the full launch at least a month away, we can expect more leaks and renders to come our way. As such, stay tuned to Mr. Phone to stay on top of all the buzz in the smartphone world.
