Ahead of the alleged December 11 launch, the press renders of Asus’s successor to the Zenfone Max M1 and Zenfone Max Pro M1 have been extensively leaked. After we got first look at the Zenfone Max Pro M2 more than a week ago and a rumoured launch date, a German blog has obtained the copy of full press renders of both the new phones; Zenfone Max M2 and Max Pro M2.
The Zenfone Max M2 and Max Pro M2 are believed to sport the model numbers, ZB631KL and ZB633KL, respectively. You’d be excited to learn that the major changes, according to these leaked renders, has happened in terms of the design and some set of hardware specs. It could mean a big thing for the brand going forward as the Indian mid-range smartphone just got stirred up with the likes of Redmi Note 6 Pro, Realme U1, and Honor 8C.
Asus Zenfone Max M2 Vs Max Pro M2 specs
The primary difference between the regular and the pro variant would be the processor. The Max M2 could be housing the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, which could clock only at 1.8GHz. Whereas the Max Pro M2 would be powered packed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor clocking at 2.2GHz.
Talking about the major design shift, it would be seen on the front with the notch introduction. It isn’t the first time for Asus to introduce a notch display phone (Zenfone 5Z), but it is indeed first for this series that has been in existence for quite a while now. With a 6-inch 1080p resolution display it will be rocking a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
There is no mention of the 6GB RAM model, but the rumour mill suggest, Asus could be sticking with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. Of course, the company is tend to introduce a 6GB RAM model separately, so its not surprising.
Another major change could be coming in the camera department. The 12MP + 5MP rear setup might be arriving on the Max Pro M2, while the Max M2 may see a 13MP single rear camera shooter. If there is a dual cam setup, then it’s unknown for now.
Unfortunately, there’s no detail available regarding the battery capacity. But looking at the large 5000mAh battery being its unique proposition when compared to other phones in the price range. We feel Asus could stick with the original battery capacity on both the models.
