ZenFone Max Pro M1

When Asus unveiled its mid-ranger, the Zenfone Max Pro M1 in May, there was one question people are asking us a lot. When is the 6GB RAM variant coming to India? Now we are happy to tell you that the company has announced today that this model would be arriving in July. Unfortunately, the brand has not revealed the exact availability date, but we shall keep you informed about it.

This was announced at an on-going event in New Delhi for the Asus Zenfone 5Z. After announcing India is its number one priority, the Taiwanese maker revealed the Zenfone Max Pro M1 6GB RAM model announcement. To jog your memory of the mid-ranger, we are sharing the specifications sheet below.

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1: 6GB RAM Vs 4GB RAM

The most significant difference between these two variants would be of RAM and camera. We have reviewed the 4GB RAM variant and one of the shortcomings of this model was its camera department. This Asus handset directly competes with Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 5 Pro, which has better camera specifications.

Which is why the brand has ante up its game on the new mid-range model to blow its competition out of the box. What are the new camera specs? On the rear, it packs 16MP + 5MP setup compared to 13MP+5MP on the 4GB model. Plus, the selfie camera resolution is now double to 16MP from 8MP. Apart from these, there is no difference at all between these models.

As far as the price of the new 6GB RAM Zenfone Max Pro M1 is concerned, the Flipkart listing quotes it at Rs 14,999, which is exactly the same as Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 5 Pro.
