Complete Nokia line-up is set to get Android 9 Pie update by Q2 2019: report

In a series of tweets shared by Nokia’s Chief Product Officer, Juho Sarvikas, we now know that all of the Nokia’s smartphone, even the entry-level phones would be receiving the Android 9 Pie update. Nokia has been quite quick with the Android updates on its popular smartphones, as its 5.1 Plus and 6.1 Plus smartphones have been updated to the Pie.

HMD Global welcomes Android 9 Pie update on more Nokia Phones

Nokia has now announced that a total of eight Nokia phones would be receiving the major software updates this year. Two of them will get it by Q2 2019, whereas four of them would get it in Q1 2019, which is good news. Below we have shared a list of the handsets that would be getting the Pie update. 

Nokia Phones to receive Android 9 Pie in 2019:

  1. Nokia 1 (Q2)
  2. Nokia 3 (Q2)
  3. Nokia 2.1 (Q1)
  4. Nokia 3.1 (Q1)
  5. Nokia 5.1 (Q1)
  6. Nokia 6 (Q1)
  7. Nokia 5 (January 2019)
  8. Nokia 3.1 Plus (January 2019)
