A new set of images of an Oppo A series handset has just emerged online today. The handset, as per the source, is a purported Oppo A5, which would succeed the Oppo A3 that just launched in April. That is kind of weird because that is a very short refresh cycle even by Oppo’s standards. Apart from images, we do have information of the internals of the handset as well.
OPPO A5 Specs
In terms of looks, the Oppo A5 resembles the Realme 1 with its diamond cut design at the back. There are two colour variants shown here, one is a Blue colour and the other is Rose Gold or Pink. As for the machinery inside, the Oppo A5 is believed to harbour a 1.8GHz octa-core CPU. This could be a Snapdragon 450 while a MediaTek variant is also not ruled out in some markets. There’s 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of internal storage and it has a micro SD card slot as well.
According to the leak, the Oppo A5 houses a 13MP + 2MP dual rear camera while the front houses an 8MP shooter. Moreover, there’s no fingerprint reader anywhere and the front is dominated by a 6.2-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution. Although battery capacity and Android versions are not known, it is thought that they will be 4,320mAh and Android 8.1 respectively.
The detailed leak also reveals connectivity options on the phone like dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, and USB 2.0 to be present. There are no launch details of the handset but given such a complete account of its specifications has emerged, the handset could launch soon. It will be priced cheaper than the A3 since it is a downgrade in certain areas as compared to the handset.
