Honor is preparing to launch yet another budget smartphone shortly after the Honor 9N in India. The new handset – the Honor 7S – will be sold on online portal Flipkart and will be launched in the first week of September, as per an IANS report.
The Honor 7S has a 5.45-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) FullView display and is fueled by a 3,020mAh battery. The processor at its core is a quad-core MediaTek MT6739 SoC clubbed with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. This makes it a very affordable device.
The Honor 7S isn’t exactly a completely new device. Instead, it is the same Honor 7S that has debuted in Pakistan in May. Hence, we should be surely seeing the camera configuration described above as that is exactly what is on the Pakistani version.
The Honor 7S would be, in many ways, a toned down version of the Honor Play 7 and it will feature a lower-specced front camera. That is perhaps the only difference between them. IANS quoted sources as saying, “The smartphone will feature a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel front snapper with selfie toning flash.”
The handset will launch with dual SIM capacity, Android 8.1 Oreo, and a 3,020mAh battery. What’s left is the pricing and considering its specs, it should easily be priced under the Rs 8,000 mark. Honor hasn’t yet declared an official release date so stay tuned.
