These days no one restraint itself to simple text messages sending images is now an integral part of the conversation. Visual messaging is the new and cool way of displaying emotions. Facebook messenger is now increasing the resolution of the pictures, that are delivered to its users. Apps like Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, and Telegram will apply compression before the image is delivered to the other person. Everyone likes sharing images of a party or a vacation, now these images will reach your friend in an even clearer resolution.

Earlier the resolution of Facebook was 2048 x 2048 but now they have increased it to 4096 x 4096. There will be no alternations in the speed the image will be sent to the recipients as fast as it use to earlier. Every month people send about 17 billion images only via Facebook Messenger, this increase in resolution will lead to a better and a sharper conversation. This change is implemented after the users gave a feedback of wanting high-resolution pictures on their apps.

Users who have iPhone, Pixel 2, Galaxy S8, and Note 8 will be able to send images in full resolution. This is awesome news for all those who are using these handsets. This resolution update which Facebook has given the name as “4K images” is already rolling out on Android and iPhone users in Australia, Canada, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, US, and the UK. Don’t worry the rolling out has already begun in these countries and soon it will reach yours.
