
FiiO Q3 THX Balanced DAC Amplifier has launched in the country, which adds to its existing amplifiers portfolio. The Q3 amplifier retails at Rs 14,990 in the country; however, it is currently available on the FiiO’s website for Rs 12,990 (Rs 2,000 less). This new amplifier claims to be a powerful decoder and has obtained multiple certifications for all kinds of devices and headphones support.
On the design front, the amplifier is compatible and easy to carry around — thanks to its smooth CNC and sandblasted curved aluminium body. It also features a copper-nickel shield and efficient absorbers that claim to form a 360-degree radio frequency interference to avoid interference.

The new offering from FiiO is Apple certified, which means it is fully compatible with all iOS devices out there. The company is also providing USB Type-C to lightning cable in the box. It is further USB IF USB Type-C compatibility certified that includes standard transmission interface to ensure compatibility, the company suggests. There’s USB dual Type-C cable with which users can connect to Android devices, and there’s also FiiO Music app to control the Q3 amplifier. The device support also includes Sony Walkman players with an adapter cable.
The Q3 here equips THX AAA Amplifier technology, which is THX’s patented feed-forward error correction topology, further combined with AAA amps promises low distortion, high powered and an uncoloured sound. For better performance achievement, the amplifier utilises the latest DAC AK4462’s decoding support up to 768kHz/32-bit PCM and DSD512. The Q3 moreover equips its predecessors’ XMOS XUF208 USB chip, which supports the decoding.
The Q3 features 4.4mm/2.5mm balanced and a 3.5mm output port to connect all sorts of headphones. The company is providing a knob with RGB lighting to differentiate between various sampling rates. An additional multi-function button promises to be comfortable in usage and allows switching between gain levels and filters quickly. Also, there’s a bass switch to activate or deactivate the bass boost functionality promptly.

The Q3 claims to have a longer battery life with a 1800mAh battery underneath. That translates to more than 10 hours of music under USB decoding, according to the company.
Lastly, along with the USB Type-C to lightning cable, FiiO is also providing a dual USB Type C head cable, a long USB Type-C data cable, 3.5mm line cable, two long binding straps, two short binding straps, a non-slip mat and a storage bag as well.
