Samsung Galaxy S8 Active to receive Android 8.0 Oreo

Samsung Galaxy S8 Active

Samsung hasn’t released the stable Android Oreo for any of its devices till now. While this is not really generous of the South Korean giant, a new information has surfaced on the internet. The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is also in line to receive the Android 8.0 Oreo soon.

The S8 flagship of Samsung will receive the Android Oreo OTA very soon. The Active version of the Galaxy S8 is the best-rugged version so far. Wi-Fi Alliance has certified two variants of this phone, one with a code SM-G892U and another with a code SM-G892A. They are the T-Mobile and Sprint variants respectively. The certification implies that the Galaxy S8 Active might get the update before the Galaxy S8 and S8+.

Samsung is also likely to release a new rugged version of the Galaxy S9 since a new device with a codename astarqlte has appeared in the XML files on Note 8’s Android Oreo firmware beta. The A in the name might mean Active and the Q might stand for a Snapdragon SoC. Do you believe in these rumours? Let us know in the comments section below.
