Samsung is releasing its S9 flagship on Sunday at MWC 2018. The Galaxy S9 and S9+ have been circling around our social media feed since many months now. The phones have been leaked to reveal all their major specifications. A new leak has confirmed the single thing which we didn’t know about the duo – their price.
Galaxy S9/S9+ leak: expected price
Evan Blass, a credible tipster, has tweeted the price of these phones. It does not come as a surprise that the S9 duo is more expensive than all the other phones of the S-series. Blass has revealed that the Galaxy S9 will come at a price of EUR 841 (Rs 67,200 approx) and the Galaxy S9+ will cost EUR 997 (Rs 79,600 approx).
All the previous leaks of the phones have revealed different price but all of them had expected a considerable hike. The oldest leak suggested a price of GBP 739 (Rs 66,900 approx) for the Galaxy S9 and GBP 800 (Rs 72,400) for the S9+. Another report predicted the price for Norwegian market to be NOK 8,790 (Rs 72,500 approx) and NOK 9,790 (Rs 80,700) for the two phones, respectively.
The price for the US market was leaked as well. The Galaxy S9 was rumoured to be launched at $850 (Rs 55,100) and the S9+ at $950 (Rs 61,600 approx). The latest leak has priced the duo at a higher price than all of these. Samsung might be following the footsteps of Apple but is it a smart move?
Some leaks have also stated that the phones will be available for pre-order from 28th February while the others have attributed the availability to the first fifteen days of March. Whatever be the case, we will get to know the final price on Sunday.
