The Galaxy S series is arguably one of the most mouth-watering devices of 2018. As such, it’s natural for tipsters to leak every tidbit of the device even till the last day in the run-up to the launch. We probably know an awful lot about the device already. However, going by the rate of leaks, we might only need Samsung on the stage to reveal the official price.
The one and only Evan Blass has just tipped the handset to arrive in a Purple Lilac shade. This would be a first for Samsung. This has been anticipated by us since we saw the official case accessories of the handset leaked. But Blass’ renders makes it almost official. Other shades that the flagship will be available in are Midnight Black, Titanium Gray, and Coral Blue variants, according to the tipster. Moreover, we believe not all colours will be sold in every region. Indeed, the Purple shade might even be a limited edition.
Another interesting tidbit shared on Twitterverse throws some light on the camera sensor of the Galaxy S9 Plus. According to another well-known tipster, the Galaxy S9 Plus will flaunt an unreleased Sony IMX345 sensor. Further, the Sony IMX345 has a 1/2.55-inches sensor size, and the industry first variable aperture of f/1.5 – f/2.4, the leak says.
It is now almost confirmed that the Galaxy S9 duo will be more of an iterative upgrade over their predecessors. Also, both the handsets will differ more in the specs department apart from the obvious internal RAM and storage differences. Samsung wants to give its customers more reasons to choose the Galaxy S9 Plus over its smaller sibling. Hence, the Galaxy S9 Plus will sport a dual camera, while the Galaxy S9 will sport a single camera with variable aperture.
