Google Assistant is one of the most, if not the most popular virtual assistant, with various smart features to help the user to function quite easily. It allows the user to select numbers to call, send text messages, and more. Today, another interesting feature was added to the assistant, which will aid in the ease of users. What is this new and special feature? Let us find out together below.
Send Audio Messages via Google Assistant
In a blog post, Google disclosed that users will now be able to send audio messages to their contacts using the Google Assistant. This will come in very handy in scenarios where one is tired of the type or is busy sitting down and type their texts. With the assistant, the user can use their voice to dictate a message. In the words of Google, Voice-messaging is the modern-day walkie-talkie and is the easiest way to send a quick note to friends and family.
The feature will be available in English-speaking countries across the globe, as well as in Portuguese in Brazil. To activate this feature, you just have to say “Hey Google, send an audio message”. The assistant will then ask you who you want to send the message to and what message you would like to record. Or, if you’re in a bit of a pickle, you can say “Hey Google, send an audio message to Brennan saying I’m on the way.”
This will be quite easy to use and when you are busy, this will be a quick and simple way of texting someone or sending a message. What are your thoughts on the new feature by Google? When it will roll out in India, will you be using the same? Let us know in the comments below.
