Google has launched a new Chromecast in lieu of the festive season in India. The device comes as a Flipkart exclusive and is priced at Rs 3,499. It is available in one Charcoal colour option only. The first Google Chromecast was launched in 2013 and since then, people have enjoyed the casted content on their televisions. In the words of the company “this newest addition to ‘Made by Google’ family of products brings in the best of hardware, software, and AI together.”

The gadget comes loaded with a one-year Sony LIV Premium subscription along with a six-month Gaana Plus subscription. Design-wise, the Chromecast looks identical to the Made By Google gadgets and fits with them perfectly. Additionally, one doesn’t need to use their hands to stream content on their television screens anymore. Just say what you want to watch from compatible services, like YouTube or Netflix, and control your TV just by asking. How do you feel about this ability of the Google Chromecast?

Chromecast supports streaming in 1080p at 60 frames per second which would make the users “feel more like they are present right there.” This is not all as with the new Ambient Mode, one can personalize their TV with constantly updating stream of the best and latest photos taken of friends and family from Google Photos. With new Live Albums from Google Photos, users can enjoy photos of people and pets they care about and skip blurry photos and duplicates — all without lifting a finger. New photos will show up automatically on their TV without any uploading hassles.

The company believes it to be the best gift for this holiday season. Do you think the same? Let us know in the comments section below. Stay tuned to Mr. Phone for more on technology.
