The Alphabet Co. claims that they have re-engineered its entry-level smart speaker offering. The brand quotes, “Google Assistant now works even better than before”. Claimed to be offering better sound experience as well, the new speaker comes with twice the bass performance, measured from 60-100Hz at maximum volume. With a proprietary audio tuning software, Google claims it now makes the most of the hardware.

Nest Mini is said to deliver full, clear, and natural sound at every volume level. Delivering to the authentic music artist envisioned for its creation, the Nest Mini users can listen to high-quality music. It also brings the ability to operate in noisy environments. The Google assistant said to automatically modulate the sound output according to the environment. The proximity sensor support allows it to light up the LED as soon as the user’s hand gets close to the device. Thus, guiding where to tap and adjust the volume. That’s quite intuitive!

Google claims home audio experience has been drastically improved thanks to the ability to connect smart speakers. A sound system can be built now using the different smart speakers placed in different places at your home. Which then can be configured using the Google Home app. Users can additionally move the music in their homes using stream transfer. With an option to transfer audio from one speaker to another by voice command. That’s tricking incredible!

For example, you can say this – “Hey Google, move the music to the living room speaker”. The Nest Minis at your home can talk to each other. Thus, allowing you to call someone from your bedroom to your living room. All they need is a Duo account and/or Google Home (Old) or Nest smart speaker.
