Google has been rumoured to working on introducing a lite version of its Pixel smartphone for quite a long time. But a new leak coming from Ishan Agarwal might almost confirm that a lite version is actually in the works and it could be headed to India soon. The Mountain View giant might be getting ready to introduce not one but two lite versions of its Pixel phones.
According to MySmartPrice report, the two Pixel phones could be dubbed as Pixel 3 Lite and Lite XL (it couldn’t be dumber) have got their respective model numbers, G020B and G020B. These handsets are said to be manufactured by Foxconn, a pioneer in electronics manufacturing. Apart from the model numbers and manufacturer info, the report also claims to confirm that these two Pixel phones would be arriving in India as well.
So, if you have your eyes set on a lite version of the best camera phone in town, the Pixel 3, then the reality might not be that far away. But before you get all excited, there is a possibility that it may be a costly affair. The report states that the pricing in India for the Pixel 3 Lite phones could start above Rs 40,000. Now you may think that’s okay, wait till you read about the expected specifications below.
Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 Lite XL specs
There is a possibility that Pixel 3 Lite could be powered by a Snapdragon 670 SoC while the Pixel 3 Lite XL could see a Snapdragon 710 chipset. Both the handsets are expected to get Android 9 Pie out of the box with the latest updates out of the box. They are believed to be codenamed, Sargo, and Bonito, respectively.
