As of now, Xiaomi is holding the title of India’s No. 1 smartphone manufacturing brand, it has shipped more than 10 million smartphones only in October 2017. These are the sales figures solely for the month of October, the company has shipped 9.2 million smartphones in the third quarter of 2017. This is tremendous news for the company but its rivals are losing their cool. Honor is now adamant to compete with Xiaomi and dethrone them from the title in 2020.
Now to some of you, this may sound easy considering that they are such huge companies, Well, it’s not!. Even if you are one of the top five brands of the smartphone manufacturers in the country, it is still a very big hurdle. Xiaomi has been playing very well with its budget smartphones both offline and online which resulted in the huge sales.
The president of Honor (George Zhao) said, that they are planning to bring in more and more pocket-friendly phones in India. The range of these devices will be between $100-$155, this is similar to the price range Xiaomi practically owns.

The device has a 5.93-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. It supports a 16 MP + 2 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera along with a 3,340 mAh battery capacity. The smartphone is available in three colours which are Gold, Blue, and Black and weighs 165 g. It is available in three storage variants (32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB) with a common RAM of 4 GB.
India has become the prime target for manufacturers to explore and increase their sales, the large population is an add-on. Plus when you look at the fact that the huge population of our country and our modest economic conditions have made India the 2nd largest smartphone market in the world, all this seems worth it.
