Honor Play 9A with dual rear cameras and 5000mAh battery launched in China

Honor has launched its new mid-range handset dubbed as Honor Play 9A. For the budget-conscious audience, this new phone brings a massive battery capacity and some other new features over its predecessors. It is released in three colours Night Black, Blue Emerald, and Jasper Green. Let’s talk about the Honor Play 9A specifications, price and availability.

Honor Play 9A – Specifications

Sporting a 6.3-inch HD+ resolution with 20:9 aspect ratio, it has a teardrop notch design where a selfie camera sits. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 SoC with a support of 4GB RAM. It runs on Android 10 based Magic UI 3.0.1. The phone offers two storage options including 64GB and 128GB. The storage expansion is supported up to 512GB via microSD card slot.

Speaking about the camera department, it has a dual rear camera setup, which misses out on the 48MP sensor. Here the primary sensor is a 13MP lens with f/1.8 aperture and 2MP depth sensor for portrait shots. Unfortunately, there’s no wide-angle lens available in this setup. The front camera is of 8MP resolution and can record up to 1080p footage.

As far as the biometric security is concerned, it has a fingerprint sensor on the back. The connectivity features include 3.5mm audio jack, FM radio on board, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Dual Sim support. For audiophiles, it has an 88dB loudspeaker backed by smart PA amplifier.

Honor Play 9A – Price and Availability 

The Honor Play 9A is available for pre-order at 900 Yuan ( Rs 9,500 approximately) for 64GB, while the 128GB model will retail for 1200 Yuan (Rs 12,500 approximately.). The phone will be exclusively available on vmall.com in three colours mentioned above. At the moment, there’s no availability date for the global launch or India launch.
