The global variant of the Honor View 10 just got better in camera performance with a new update. The handset is a solid offering under the Rs 30,000 bracket and has decent cameras but does lack both OIS and EIS (electronic image stabilization). It has dual rear cameras, (16MP + 20MP) and a single front 16MP sensor. Honor India announced today that a new update is not only bringing EIS for the camera but a number of other useful feature as well.
The update comes with build number 126.96.36.199 for the international variant that is Honor View 10 BKL-L09. The Indian variant still lazily runs on EMUI 8.0 while the US version has already got EMUI 8.1 that brings Android 8.1 Oreo.
Amongst other notable features, Honor has also added call recording, “thermal optimization,” and Ride mode with the new update, all handy features. The update will also get users the latest July security patch so it is recommended that Honor View 10 users download this update as soon as the OTA arrives on their devices.
The Honor View 10 launched in January but already looks like an old device with the introduction of the Honor 10 just a month back in India. It does have top-draw specifications like a HiSilicon Kirin 970 system-on-chip, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 3,750mAh battery. The arrival of EIS should help videography enthusiasts a lot since it will provide some respite from the shaky footage. For a more detailed look at the changelog, take a look at the source below.
