A new launch teaser from HTC Germany has given us an official touch down date of the HTC U12+. As we head towards mid-2018, many flagships have launched and many are in the offing. The teaser from HTC doesn’t directly say it’s the HTC U12+ but when HTC calls it a “masterpiece” you know it is a flagship.
The tweet from Germany says, and this is a Google translation, “A masterpiece, the whole, holds much more than the sum of its parts… more we will show you on the 23rd of May.”
The image itself shows various components that may or may not be of the HTC U12+. Thankfully, we’re not clueless when it comes to the HTC U12+. The teaser rekindles our most recent memory of the HTC U12+. That was last week when live pictures showed a black HTC U12+.
A number of things were deduced from the leak. The smartphone should rock dual cameras on both sides, and have a glossy finish following its predecessors. It also doesn’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack. But it does have a USB Type-C. The fingerprint sensor is on the back and finally, HTC doesn’t follow the notch trend.
As for specs, you can expect what you expect each and every year such as the cutting edge stuff that drives most other flagships. HTC has been bleeding money but if you know the Taiwanese firm, you can tell the HTC U12+ won’t come cheap. It will be right up there with the LGs and Samsungs.
