Yesterday night, Huawei announced its two new smartphones dubbed as P30 and P30 Pro. Alongside it the company also announced a range of accessories for its phone. The wireless earphones are one of them. Its dubbed as Huawei FreeLace earphones, they claim to offer up to 18 hours of playback time. These water-resistant IPX5 rated earphones are the company’s latest offering in the wireless earphones realm. Launched in pair with Huawei’s new flagship phones, the Huawei FreeLace earphones offers a Bluetooth 5.0 support and thus better connectivity than those with 4.2 version support. 

It weighs just 27 gram and could feel lighter than most wireless neckband style earphones. But the unique design of it offers better connectivity features like the in-built USB Type-C. One end of the earphones plugs-out and reveals the USB Type-C port. It is there for charging purpose as well as a pairing. 

The company claims to create a proprietary technology to pair the device once plugged into the port of the phone. It can charge from your smartphones, which is again a unique way to keep the earphones alive when you’re not nearby a power unit. Or don’t have a power bank either. 

For better audio experience, it offers a dual-channel wind noise reduction for noise canceling. Plus the built-in hall magnetic connector can detect whether the headphones are in use or not. 

The 120mAh capacity battery ensures the 18 hours playback time. Further, the company claims it can be charged quickly. Mere 5 minutes charging shall give up to 4 hours of playback, which sounds incredible.

The Huawei FreeLace would be available in four colours including Graphic black, Amber sunrise, Emerald Green, and Moonlight Silver. The sale date is unknown yet. The Huawei FreeLace price starts at Rs 7,500 approximately, which is 99 Euro.
