Huawei has sent out a press release to announce the imminent arrival of the Mate 20 Pro. The flagship phone is all set to launch in November this year in India. The company has explicitly mentioned the AI capabilities of the device “will inspire creativity and productivity; empowering users to express themselves, unhindered by technological bottlenecks.” Along with this, we can also expect the huge battery backup of the upcoming Huawei Mate 20 Pro and other devices to keep customers online for hours on end.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro: specs and features
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro comes with a 6.39-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 3120p. There is a notch on top of it to make the phone as bezel-less as possible. Performance wise, it runs on the latest Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 980 octa-core chipset which is backed by AI and made on a 7nm process. With that, it has ARM Mali-G76 MP10 GPU and 6GB/8GB of RAM with 128GB/256GB of ROM.
Additionally, the phone houses an in-display fingerprint sensor which is quite in trend. The camera setup includes three lenses on the back, called the Matrix Camera system. It includes three sensors – 40MP with a f/1.8 aperture + 8MP with a f/2.2 aperture + 20MP with a f/2.2 aperture. The triple rear setup forms a square as an LED Flash has been added as the fourth corner. For selfie lovers, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro comes with a 24MP sensor.
The back of the phone is made of glass which ensures a support for wireless charging. The device carries a 4200mAh battery which supports 40W Fast Charging and 15W wireless charging as well. Additionally, to make biometric security strong, it offers a dot projector based Face Unlock, which uses IR sensors, TR proximity sensor and flood illuminator to detect a face. The device runs Android 9.0 Pie with EMUI 9.0 on top.
