Huawei made a name for itself when the company launched the Huawei Mate X. This was the company’s first entry into the world of foldable smartphones. Huawei had also recently confirmed that the company will introduce the Mate Xs in the first quarter of 2020. Now as per a report, the Mate Xs have received the mandatory 3C certification in China. This means that the phone might launch soon.
Huawei Mate Xs – What to expect?
The Mate Xs is supposed to offer a better processor, a refined hinge mechanism and an improved and more durable build quality. But still, the design will remain the same as its predecessor. You can read more about the Huawei Mate X here. We got a chance to experience the device at a briefing hosted by the company.
Talking about the Mate Xs, the phone’s 3C certification listing mentions that it will support 65W fast charging. We have already seen this fast-charging tech in OPPO Reno Ace which charges from 0 to 100 in less than 30 minutes! Xiaomi is also working on something similar for its upcoming smartphones.
The Huawei Mate Xs is confirmed to run on the Kirin 990 SoC that comes with an integrated 5G modem with dual-mode 5G (SA + NSA). The Mate X, on the other hand, was equipped with the Kirin 980 SoC which comes with a separate Balong 5000 modem to enable 5G connectivity.
In addition, to bring a refined hinge mechanism and offer better durability, the Xs will be a much faster phone on the inside. We can also expect that the phone will pack in the HMS core instead of Google’s suite of apps.
