It’s almost a certainty at this point in time that Huawei’s P11/P20 line will sport an iPhone X inspired notch. However, the actual look and design have escaped many prying eyes. But we’re finally getting a good look at what the Huawei P20 Lite will look like.
We wouldn’t need to prove the authenticity of the source if you follow smartphone leaks in any capacity. We have CAD renders of the Huawei P20 Lite for the first time. Looking at the 360 degrees CAD video, we have to say, we’re not impressed. If Huawei does want to copy the iPhone X design then this is a big step down. The bottom bezels look really bad on a phone which already has a notch. We don’t understand why Huawei simply made a notch for the sake of it. The whole point of the notch was to deliver as little bezels as possible. Clearly, Huawei hasn’t got the idea.
Moving to the back, the rear has dual cameras which makes it obvious that triple cameras are exclusive to the Huawei P20. It should be an RGB + monochrome setup like last time.
Huawei recently demonstrated its own facial recognition tech and Animojis at the launch of the Honor View 10. We bet it will be present on the Huawei P20 family.
This morning, Huawei sent official invites for the Huawei P20 launch event. And the teaser pretty much confirmed the triple lens setup on the flagship.
What do you think about this notchy design from Huawei? Do you think it’s just a gimmick? Or does it look appealing? Let us know in the comments section below.
