Huawei is finally here with the world’s first phone with a triple rear camera setup. The Huawei P20 Pro and P20 Lite have been launched in India. The former will cost you Rs 64,999 while the later will take Rs 19,999 off your pockets. The phones look quite distinct in their special gradient finish, are Amazon exclusive and will be available from May 3 onwards.

The Huawei P20 Pro was first launched in Paris on March 25. It reached London afterwards with the Huawei P20 Lite. The Lite version of the phone is by far the lightest on the spec sheet and your pockets.
Huawei P20 Pro: specs and features
The P20 Pro by Huawei is the first phone in the world to feature a triple camera setup, developed by Leica. The device carries a notch on the top of its display but you can switch it off if you find it disturbing. However, the notch does help in increasing the screen-to-body ratio of a device.
The P20 Pro carries a 6.1-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2240p. The aspect ratio of the display is 18.7:9, which gives way to an almost bezel-less display. The phone runs on the latest Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 970 processor with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of ROM. Sadly, you cannot expand the storage via a microSD card.
Coming to the USP of the phone, the triple camera setup on the back includes a 40MP RGP lens, an 8MP telephoto lens and a 20MP monochrome lens. All this, with a 24MP selfie shooter, makes this phone quite an ideal package as far as hardware is concerned. The P20 Pro carries a metal cum glass built and supports Qi Wireless charging. It also has a support for Fast Charging. The battery capacity of the phone is 4000mAh and the connector type is the USB Type-C. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.0 skin on the top. The fingerprint sensor resides comfortably on the front and the phone has a Face Unlock feature as well.
The phone comes in four colour variants – Black, Blue, Twilight Violet and Pink Gold. The special finish is exclusive to the last two variants.
Huawei P20 Lite: specs and features
The Huawei P20 Lite is a toned-down version of the P20 Pro and P20. The latter is not launching in India and we cannot fathom the reason. This device carries a notch as well. The display on the phone is an AMOLED panel which is 5.84-inch in size with a resolution of 1080 x 2280p. The phone derives its power from the Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 659 processor with 4GB of RAM.
The camera on the back is a dual setup with 16MP + 2MP sensors and the selfie shooter on the device is 24MP. The P20 Lite carries a 3000mAh battery but lacks the support for Fast Charging and Wireless Charging.

The Huawei P20 Lite also runs Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.0 skin on the top. It also has a support for USB Type-C connector. The fingerprint sensor is placed beneath the vertical dual rear camera setup. The phone is made completely of metal and comes as quite a competitor for the likes of the Redmi Note 5 Pro. It will be available in two colour variants – Blue and Black.
