Huawei Watch GT with LiteOS and a humongous battery life announced

Huawei Watch GT announced

Huawei Watch GT has launched after a plethora of rumours surrounded it for weeks. The smartwatch comes as a successor to the Huawei Watch 2 but with a lot of upgrades. Instead of Google’s Wear OS, the Watch GT runs on Huawei’s own LiteOS. This is not all, as the battery life of the Watch GT is commendable as well.

The battery capacity on the watch is 420mAh which is capable of running for 30 days on a single charge. Of course, the GPS, heart rate monitoring, messages and calls would have to be turned off for this. When it comes to continuous usage, the Watch GT can run for 22 hours straight. How amazing is that?

Huawei Watch GT

The Huawei Watch GT is made of a stainless steel case which is 10.6mm thick and 46.5mm wide. It has 1.39-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 454 x 454p. This smart watch by Huawei is bigger than the Samsung Galaxy Watch (46mm) and the Apple Watch (44mm). However, the Watch GT is identical to its predecessor in a way that it emphasises sports tracking. An ambient light sensor and air-pressure sensor help in exercising, running, cycling, swimming, hiking and walking.

The Huawei Watch GT is also capable of sleep tracking and the feature is made in association with Harvard Medical School. The built-in Health Assistant takes data and lets you know when you desperately need sleep. The gadget is also compatible with iOS and Android smartphones. We do not, however, knows about its launch date or price yet.
